Description
A Patient Advocate at the MSH assists human trafficking victims and their families with the following: Medical appointments, transportation, Medi-Cal enrollment, and financial assistance,Community referrals for housing, legal services, victim advocacy, court accompaniment, job training, childcare, food pantries, etc.
Referrals to our partner agency, Journey Out, for trauma informed care and case management. Services include: Full Spectrum Victim-Centered, Trauma-Informed Primary Medical Care, Women’s Health, Prenatal and Obstetrical Care, Newborn, Pediatric and Adolescent Care, Mental Health Support (including medication management), Annual Physical Examinations, Vaccinations, STI (including HIV) Testing and Treatment, PrEP, Contraception, Referrals for Community Resources, Gender Affirming Care, and Telehealth.
