WIC provides nutritious food to pregnant and breastfeeding women, new mothers, and mothers of infants and children in low income families that meet WIC income guidelines. WIC provides checks for buying healthy foods, nutrition education, breastfeeding support, and offers help finding healthcare and other community services. Homeless families, including homeless parenting or pregnant youth under 25 usually qualify. Call to schedule an appointment or to fill out an online California WIC application. Your caseworker can tell you what documents you need to bring to the meeting.
