CalFresh issues monthly electronic benefits onto an EBT card that can be used to buy most foods at many markets and food stores.
Medi-Cal pays for comprehensive healthcare services including medical office visits, vision and dental care, mental health services, hospitalization and prescription medicines for eligible low income or homeless adults, blind or disabled individuals, pregnant women, caretaker relative(s) of age eligible child, and children up to their 21st birthday.
General Relief (GR) provides cash assistance to adults who are ineligible for federal or state programs. After applying for GR, employable participants must enroll in the GROW program, which offers employment and training services and helps GR participants get jobs and achieve self-sufficiency. Youth (age 18-24) are eligilble for include Job Readiness Training for Youth, Computer Application Class, and other Youth-specific programs.
