Description
This free, early education program serves young children from low-income families by promoting school readiness for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers including children with special needs. The Early Head Start program supports pregnant women and families with children younger than age 3 years. The Head Start program serves children between 3 and 5 years old. Services include kindergarten readiness, family socialization and prenatal classes, services for children with special needs, mental health services, health and nutrition services (free meals) and parent involvement through trainings.
